The latest comic project by Jules Rivera, creator of Valkyrie Squadron, occasional pinch hitter on Princeless.
It's a magic school in the ghetto.
Storyboards: Johnny gets an unpleasant awakening from his family. There are many writers who believe a dead family is a great way to justify a character’s angst. I don’t think these writers know how much a live family can do the same thing.
Last set of Misfortune High Chapter 2 boards for the weekend. Biscuit is a big, fat, stinking drama queen and that is just the thing I love drawing about him.
More storyboarding action, even on the weekend. Our old buddy, Henry suddenly and hilariously appears in Biscuit’s mansion to serve some scones. Because he has to be a fixture in this story. Trust me on this.
More Misfortune High chapter 2 boards. These will be turned into pages some day, I promise.
More Misfortune High Chapter 2 storyboards. When I compose this thing into a page, I doubt I’ll keep all these frames, but better to have more than you need, right?
Looks like Johnny’s suffering from a moral dilemma.
More work on the Walt White animation project. This is a really, really cleaned up bit from the short, where Walt reacts favorably to winning some rock candy.
Did I say rock candy? I meant meth.
When I’m not drawing comics about dragons or painting Godzilla, I work on my animation project starting Walt White. As a cartoon. Yup.
Some storyboards of pages from Chapter 2 to be composed into layouts for later.
In other news, I was at Long Beach Comic Expo this weekend, and people saw me making some of these on my iPad. Man, iPad storyboarding programs are a real crowd pleaser.
